The music for Signs of the Sojourner is a reflection on the characters, locations, and journey that the player embarks upon. Using only real/performed instruments, found sounds, and hardware, composer Steve Pardo builds upon the organic-techno, alien, post-apocalyptic world of the game via a unique combination of folk-jazz, orchestral, and synthetic musics in order to bring it to life.

PRESS

PASTE MAGAZINE (FEATURETTE)

It takes a whole lot of soundtrack to contain all the possibilities of something after this. And a lot of media doesn’t try. Picking and choosing, reducing humanity to its basest, most desperate existence. Not here. Pardo links the isolation with the fullness, giving exhilaration to the places beyond.

GAMEFFINE

In fact, the soundtrack of the game is so good, I would recommend you replace it with the Lo-Fi music that you listen to while working/studying.

GAMERHEADS PODCAST

Bold, impressionistic strokes paint a world full of hope reimagining the future. Touching connections and tragic misunderstandings are carefully played out to the tranquil and melancholy tunes of an unforgettable soundtrack in a world asking for an open mind and understanding.
