Steve Pardo is a professional musician and composer currently residing in Boston, MA with his wife, Amy, and son, Benjamin. He is employed at the video game studio Harmonix Music Systems as a composer/sound designer.
Steve has composed music for a number of upcoming video game releases, including Crate Entertainment’s PC release, Grim Dawn (Summer 2013), and an unannounced forthcoming Harmonix title. His work on audio for games includes original music, sound design, and transcriptions for Rock Band 2 and 3 (2008, 2010), The Beatles: Rock Band (2009), Dance Central 2 and 3 (2011,2012), VidRhythm (2012), and others.
As the primary songwriter/arranger/producer, he has released two albums with singer Lindley Cameron in the last few years: the EP “Fairyale Thankyou” (2008), and “Come Home” (2010).
Steve is a professional multi-instrumentalist, specializing in saxophone, woodwinds, guitar, and piano/keyboards. He performs with the Boston-based rock band Spirit Kid, folk band Hello Ghost, and plays regularly in the Christ the King Presbyterian Church worship band.
He attended the University of Miami, FL, and received his Bachelor’s in Studio Music and Jazz (2006), and his Master’s in Studio Jazz Writing (2008). There he worked as a jazz teacher’s assistant and taught classes such as jazz improvisation, jazz piano, saxophone quartet, and private jazz saxophone.
